Assignment 3- Audacity

For Assignment 3 we had to create, and mix a audio recording using Audacity. Audacity is a free Web 2.0 tool that can be downloaded for free. It has software to record and import audio and voice recording.

In the assignment we had to include at least three audio clips joined and mixed together. The audio file must be two-five minutes long. Our final production had to be burnt to a CD (compact disc) using InfraRecorder, Nero, or Roxio. The CD had to be turned in and we had to post the MP3 format of the final project to our social network.

I had never used Audacity or any audio recording tool before. I was surprised about how easy it was to use. I watched some of the video tutorials to help understand all the things you could do. I enjoyed this assignment because you could listen to what you were doing as you went along creating it. The tools were very easy to use and were labeled with the names of them. I would recommend this tool to others to use. I also used this Web 2.0 tool in on of my later assignments to add voice and audio to a movie.

Below is the link to my Audacity assignment.

  2. I agree that audacity was easy to use. I never used it before yet I found it very beneficial to my use. I think this can be used in a variety of ways for a classroom teacher

  3. Nice audio! It was one of the harder assignments for me also. I just didn't like Audacity. I had never heard of it before either, but I found out today that one of my professors for one of my online classes uses it for her weekly podcasts. Now it makes a little more sense to me.
