Assignment 5- Jaycut

For assignment 5 we were to create a Jaycut video. Jaycut is a Web 2.0 tool. It is used to create interactive video with music, slide transitions, images, videos, and much more.

In this assignment we had to include, atleast 2 video clips, edit and remix of video using Jaycut, title slide, images, audio/music, transitions, and closing credits. The final production had to be 2 to 5 minutes long. After we had completed everything we had to post of URL onto our social network page.

This assignment was quiet difficult. It was very time consuming. It was not like the past assignments. You had to set everything right on the "timeline" for the movie to be created right. The preview of the production was very slow which did not allow you to preview you video until you had created it. Many times you had to go back and change your video to make sure everything was clear and flowing. Once you understood the online tool it was not bad. I enjoyed learning about Jaycut and seeing new ways to create videos. I would recommend this tool to someone else as long as they understood that it is time consuming and its not user friendly at first.

Below is my Jaycut video!

  1. I agree, this project was time consuming. I loved your video though. I like the snow images. Makes me think about when my family and I went to Pennsylvania this past year and played in the snow. I like the music, but I think the transition of the two songs could have been organized better. I like how the video was added in there, it was good timing. Overall, Good job!

  3. Love your video, you did a nice job! I had a big problem uploading the videos to Jaycut. After I finally got them there, I didn't find it hard to work with. It took a little time to find everything I needed, but it was not hard. It took forever to download the video from my email, but I don't know if that was Jaycut or my problem computer.
