Assignment 8- Jing

For Assignment 8 we were to use Jing. Jing is a Web 2.0 tool that allows you to take screen shots and screen videos. Jing is a free progrma you can download from their website and when you sign up with Jing you also create an account with Screencast.com. Screencast allows you to store all you screenshots and videos as you create them. Jing as tool on screenshots were you can insert text, boxes, arrows, and much more.

Dr. Yuen asked us to go by the following guidelines when creating this assignment. We were to have a minimum of five images and one video. All the images and video had to uploaded to Screencast. The video had to be at least two minutes long. After we had created all our documents and posted them onto Screencast we had to share the link on our class social network.

I have never used Jing before. I had to use Gadwin PrintScreen which allowed you to take screen shots and edit them. Gadwin was limited to the things you could do with it, you could not take video with it. Jing is alot easier to use and very user friendly. I enjoy working with Jing better than Gadwin PrintScreen.

Below is the link to view my images and video.

  1. I liked your Screencast images and the video. It was a good idea to use our class website for the images, as well as Facebook and Picnik. I enjoyed watching the Intro. to Picnik.
